About the experience
The experience takes place at Countryside Park, a private venue with a small farm, set in a green natural landscape in the capital Nicosia. During the programme you will learn and participate in the process of making traditional 'koullouri" bread like they use to do in the old days. For a day you will become a farmer, a miller and a baker! At the end of the morning you will get to enjoy your freshly made product: the koulouri bread! You will also get to see the animals of the park. Children may also enjoy some play time at the playground area of the park.

What you'll do
- 01Welcome! The day begins with traditional Cyprus coffee and assortments with an introduction - briefing on the programme.
- 02Starting from the farmers field, cultivate the land with a horse-drawn plough, sow the seeds, grow and harvest the wheat ears. Thresh, winnow and fill the sacks with wheat grains.
- 03At the miller's use a hand made stone mill to grind the wheat grains and a sieve to extract the flour.
- 04Then it's time to lit up the wood fire oven, knead the bread, shape the dough and cook koulouri bread in the oven.
- 05Finally sit down to relax, enjoy a complimentary drink and taste the freshly made bread accompanied by small Cypriot meze treats.
