This page explains how to permanently delete your Joy of Culture guest account, what you need before you start, and what happens to your data afterwards.
Overview
You can delete your account yourself from Security & Passwords in your account settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your access immediately. Some records, such as past bookings, are kept for legal and operational reasons, but your personal details are anonymized.
Who can delete their account here
Self-service deletion is available for guest (consumer) accounts only. Vendor or host accounts and admin accounts cannot be deleted through this flow. If you are a host, contact support at info@joyofculture.com.
Before you delete your account
You cannot delete your account while you have an active booking, a pending request to book, or a reserved booking. Cancel or complete these first. If you have upcoming confirmed experiences, complete them or cancel them according to our cancellation policy.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to your Joy of Culture account on the website or mobile app.
- Open Settings → Security & Passwords. On the mobile app, go to Profile → Settings and open Delete account.
- Select Delete account and read the confirmation message carefully.
- Confirm your identity with your password or with a verification code sent to your email. If you signed up with Google or Apple and have no password, you must use the email code.
- Confirm deletion. You will be signed out immediately and your account access will be removed.

- Your profile details are anonymized (name, email, phone, photo, and similar personal data are removed).
- You can register again later using the same email address.
- Past bookings remain on record for accounting, legal, and dispute purposes.
- Reviews you wrote may remain visible but are shown anonymously.
- Your wishlist, notification preferences, active sessions, and push tokens are removed.
Security and confirmation
For your protection, we ask you to confirm your identity before deleting your account. If you use a password, entering the wrong password five times will sign you out for security reasons. You can also confirm deletion with a verification code sent to your email.
